Copyright and DMCA Policy

How to report copyright concerns and what happens next.

We respect the work of creators, musicians and rights holders. This page explains how to tell us if our tool is being used to misuse your work, and what happens next. It also explains what we do and do not control, because that shapes what we can actually fix.

What this website is and is not

This website lets a person paste the link of a public TikTok video and receive the audio. We do not host a library of TikTok sounds, we do not publish videos, and we do not choose what people convert. The audio is fetched at the moment someone asks, streamed to their device, and not kept by us. The source of the content is TikTok, where the creator posted it.

Because of this, most copyright problems are best fixed at the source: by reporting the video to TikTok, which can remove it for everyone. We still want to help, and we can stop our tool from processing specific links.

What we can do

If you are a rights holder or their authorised agent, we can:

  • Block specific TikTok links, accounts or sounds from being processed by our converter.
  • Remove any page on our own site that contains infringing material.
  • Respond to a properly made notice under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws in other countries.

What to include in a notice

To act quickly we need enough detail to check your claim. Please send these through the contact page and choose "Copyright or removal request":

  1. Your name and contact details, including an email address we can reply to.
  2. A description of the work you own or represent, with a link to an authorised copy if one exists.
  3. The exact link (URL) of the TikTok video or of our page that you believe is a problem.
  4. A statement of good faith that the use is not authorised by the owner, the owner's agent or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices can slow things down because we have to come back to ask for the missing details. Partial or vague claims, for example "block everything by this artist" with no links, are hard to act on safely.

What happens next

When we receive a valid notice, we usually:

  • Check the link and the claim.
  • Block the content from our converter and remove it from our own pages where relevant.
  • Confirm to you by email once it is done.

We may pass a copy of your notice, minus personal contact details where the law allows, to the person affected so they can respond. We act on valid notices fast, often within one or two working days, and we aim to be fair to everyone involved.

Counter-notices

If you believe your content or link was blocked by mistake, you can send a counter-notice through the same form. Include the link, why you believe the block was an error, your contact details, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith it was blocked through error or misidentification. We may restore access if the original claimant does not pursue the matter in the time the law allows.

Repeat infringement

We may restrict access for users who repeatedly use the service to infringe other people's rights. See our Terms of Use for the rules that apply to everyone.

For people using the tool

Popular does not mean free to reuse. The Terms of Use explain what we expect from visitors, and our guide to what is possible and legal goes into the details.

False or abusive claims

Sending a notice that you know to be false can have legal consequences. Please make sure you are actually the rights holder, or authorised to act for them, before you write.

Not legal advice

This page is a plain-language summary. It does not replace advice from a lawyer, and laws differ by country.

Practical tips for rights holders

Send links, not just names. A notice that lists the exact TikTok video URLs lets us block them within hours, while a general complaint about an artist or a song takes much longer to check. If a sound appears in many videos, list the sound page or a handful of examples and tell us you are the owner of the underlying recording. We will do our best to block the whole sound where our tool allows it.

If you represent a label or a collecting society, tell us the organisation and the territory you cover. If you act for someone else, include a line saying so, and attach or describe your authority. We keep these details private and use them only to process the claim.

Frequently asked questions

Do you host the audio files?

No. Audio is fetched on request, streamed to the user and not stored by us beyond a short-lived download reference.

Can you remove the video from TikTok?

No. Only TikTok can remove it. We can block our converter from processing the link.

How long do you take to act on a valid notice?

Usually one or two working days once we have everything we need.
